Ballet & Jazz

Our Ballet & Jazz program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines the grace of ballet with the energy of jazz, providing an intertwined core program that aims to develop the strong, adaptable and versatile dancer of the next generation. 


As a school, we firmly believe that it is fundamental for every budding dancer to have strong classical ballet foundations to serve as a strong backbone, complimenting the artistry, athleticism and dynamics of our jazz program.



The program is supported by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD, UK) and Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT, CAN) syllabus, two internationally acclaimed syllabus that focuses on solidifying a well rounded and inclusive structure to help dancers develop the fundamental building blocks needed to enhance and enrich their training. 

Classes Offered:

  • Grade 1 Ballet & Junior 1 Jazz & Tap Combo (Ages 7-8): Combines ballet, jazz, and tap to develop versatility and musicality.


  • Grade 2 Ballet & Junior 2 Jazz Combo (Ages 8-9): Builds on previous levels with more complex movements and choreography.


  • Grade 3 Ballet & Junior 3 Jazz Combo (Ages 9-10): Enhances technical skills and performance quality in both genres.


  • Grade 4 Ballet & Pre Intermediate 1 Jazz Combo (Ages 10-11): Prepares students for advanced techniques and expressive performance.


  • Grade 5 Ballet & Pre Intermediate 2 Jazz Combo (Ages 11-12): Focuses on refining technique and artistic expression.


  • Grade 6 Ballet & Pre Intermediate 3 Jazz (Ages 12-17): Offers advanced training for dedicated dancers aiming for excellence.


  • Intermediate Foundation Ballet & Intermediate 1 Jazz: Stepping stone into vocational level training


  • Intermediate Ballet & Intermediate 2 Jazz: Provides opportunities for students seeking to develop their artistry as a matured vocational dancer


  • Advanced 1 Ballet & Intermediate 3 Jazz: Advanced pre-professional level training

Ballet Exam Syllabus

The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is one of the world’s leading dance examinations boards. From Ballet to Ballroom, ISTD covers the full spectrum of dance genres and have provided training for dance teachers and examiners, enabling them to enter their students for examinations, develop new techniques and spread the joy of dance.


Established in 1904, with a mission to educate the public in the art of dancing in all its forms; today the Society strives to advance excellence in dance teaching and education. They promote knowledge in each specialty and provide up-to-date techniques in the ever-changing world of dance. Also working hard to maintain and improve teaching standards in schools, academies, and performing arts settings across the world.



Jazz Exam Syllabus

The Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT) Syllabus originates from Canada, offering more than 30 years experience of progressing quality dance education for all levels of dancers. ADAPT Examinations progress students through a goal-setting syllabus of strong technical dancing alongside artistic expression.


The syllabus is continually updated in order to offer the most current and up-to-date highest standards for jazz and tap excellence in the teaching industry.  This allows students to not just receive the best foundations for their dance technique but will also allow them to always be on trend in an ever-changing dance world.


ADAPT is a certified "dance syllabus" offering yearly examinations in the dance disciplines of Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. ADAPT represents an elite group of dance teachers who follow the ADAPT Syllabus and enter their students in the yearly examination process. ADAPT dance teachers are leaders in quality dance training. They teach the love of dance and movement not only to the elite student, but to the recreational dancer as well.
