Acro

Acro Dance is a unique blend of classical dance technique and acrobatic elements . It creates fluid transitions between elegant dance movements and impressive acrobatic skills like balances, rolls, handstands, bridges, and tumbling passes.

Unlike gymnastics, Acro Dance emphasizes musicality, artistic expression, and seamless integration of skills into choreography. Every movement tells a story, combining strength with grace.

Our program follows a structured progression system where each skill builds on a solid foundation. Safety comes first with proper conditioning, spotting techniques, and age-appropriate skill development.

Classes Offered:

  • Minis (Ages 5-6):  Designed to develop balance, coordination, and flexibility.

  • Pre Junior (Ages 6-7):  Introduces foundational Acro skills in a supportive environment.

  • Acro Beginner, and Acro Levels 1&2 (Ages 7+):  Expands on skills with tumbling and advanced flexibility.

Acro Exam Syllabus

At All That Jazz, our Acro classes follow the internationally recognised ADTA (Acrobatic Dance Teachers Association) syllabus. This structured programme blends dance technique with safe, progressive acrobatic skills such as balances, flexibility, strength work, tumbling, and controlled partner skills.

The ADTA syllabus is designed to develop strong technical foundations while prioritising safe training and proper body alignment. Students can work towards graded examinations, which provide clear milestones, build confidence, and recognise each child’s progress as they advance.
